Biography

Maryann Gou was born in 2000 and commenced her piano studies at the age of 8 with Neta Maughan AM and by the age of 12 had achieved her Associate Diploma with Distinction. She has performed as a soloist with orchestra in concertos by Rachmaninoff and Tchaikowsky. Some of her highlights so far include performances at Carnegie Hall and Trump Tower on tour with Meridian School where she was also a music scholar. Maryann has won over 150 prizes and awards. In 2015 she won the Margaret Chalmers Scholarship (NSW). In 2016 she was the soloist in the Butterfly Lovers’ Concerto at the Chinese Language Spectacular at the Sydney Town Hall. Recently, Maryann completed her LLB degree at University of Technology, Sydney.
