6. Ben Fu

16 year old Ben Fu was born in ChengDu China, beginning piano studies at the age of 7, before migrating to Australia. He now studies piano with Glenn Riddle. Ben is a Year 10 student at Patterson River Secondary College and his favourite composer is J.S. Bach and it is his dream to one day be able to play and perform Bach’s Goldberg Variations. Ben has won numerous prizes in both China and Australia, mostly recently winning First Prize in the Boroondara Eisteddfod Concerto Competition. Ben has also broadcast on 3MBS radio and recently performed Bach's French Suite No 5 at Tempo Rubato's Bach Festival.
