Biography
Mulan Ma is currently a 13-year-old Year 8 student at St Peters Lutheran College in Brisbane. She started playing piano at the age of four under the tutelage of Joyce Bennett OAM and is now studying with Ms Jenni Flemming as a Griffith Young Conservatorium student. She is not only playing solo piano but also enjoys doing accompanying.
Mulan received her AMusA with Distinction in piano at the age of 11 when she was in Year 6. She was invited by AMEB to perform at the AMEB Diploma Concert in 2020 and she was also awarded the Joyce Phillips Award — presented by Quota International of Brisbane City Inc — for being a promising and outstanding young female pianist.
Mulan is also an active cello player and is currently studying cello with Mr Gwyn Roberts.
